lugar a dudas strives in three articulated action/spaces;
three work areas that have been shaped along the years according to
the needs, the uses of the space and the way we operate. Although
different, each one includes a series of activities intended and directed
all towards research, critical thinking and production of meaning
within the field of contemporary artistic practice:
Two Exhibition programs:
An exhibition space located inside the house,
set to show video works as well as small temporary exhibitions.
la vitrina, (shop-window) is a nine square meters space
located outside the house, with a view towards the street that shows
to pedestrians and public of the city, local, national and international
artists' works continually.
An encounter and research space named sala de
estar (living room), conformed by a living room and a reading
room where our documentation center is spread out to everyday
visitors, and a open air backyard where two film programs take place
twice a week. These spaces also foster the talks, workshops, forums
and meetings that lugar a dudas proposes to the public.
The residency area, located in the backside
of the house, is the space where the participants of the residency
program lodge. lugar a dudas has participated for three
years now, in a residency and exchange network with other non-profit
spaces from Latin America that offers residency grants to artists,
curators and researchers. Nevertheless, artists, curators and researchers
interested in coming to lugar a dudas, can apply independently
to make a residency project in the city.
